Mawane is an independent, non-profit initiative which mounts thought-provoking exhibitions, talks and workshops in various locations along the Bahraini coastline, in a critical attempt to cultivate a wider audience for contemporary art. Promoting collaboration and discussion, it was proactively founded as a small-scale platform for experimental urban research.
