Reef Bul-Thamah

Reef Bul-Thamah is located to the north of the mainland and is known to be surrounded by an oyster bed known locally as ‘Hayr Bul Thamah’. It is said to be in good condition due to its remote location and distance from the mainland.  It covers an area of 7.8 km2 and harbours the highest diversity of corals, algae and reef fish in addition to many other species in comparison to other reef sites.
